I will be fair and say I have compared several other products and ARLO still wins. I paid a lot of money for this system and I expect it to work! Otherwise, please don't advertise that your system can do it!
And don't tell me theres an issue with my cams, I have 5 of them and ALL of them does the same thing. I'm really fed-up that I had to pay so much for this system and the functionality just does not work. Nowadays I see when you press the Mic button to speak, theres a big delay before the button turns purple - whats that all about? Its TOTALLY inconsitent and unrealiable. Mostly its broken communication that reaches the cam (less than 50% of the messages reaches the cam) and the rest of the time theres NO communication, just silence. The biggest issue is with the commnication TO the camera.

This function just does not work - full stop! I've owned my 5-cam Arlo Pro system for around 7 months now, and up to today I could not get it to work on iPhone (all IOS versions), Android (6.0, 7.0 and 8.0) and your web interface. I can adjust to the somewhat limited FOV as I'm sure they are working that out. But not looking through a screen door as compared to my HTC Vive has been a real treat. I think they should REALLY work on expanding that. If I had one criticism about the headset it would only be the FOV (all the way around) for the headset. I hoped for a good headset when I ordered this, but this has exceeded my expectations to a very large degree.

HP did a great job on this headset and I grumbled and grumbled about it at first. In any event, the headset now works and the sound is quite good. In retrospect I think there was a hook in the bios that was refreshing every so often and would grab the audio or get confused and short between two outputs. Turns out I was right.ĭisabling the RealTek HD Audio on my motherboard not only allowed the HP Reverb G2 audio to start working, but it also changed the name of the audio output device to "RealTek USB2.0". After reading a few posts on HP's support website and seeing nobody that was able to get a straight answer from HP, I sorta had an idea what it could be. Then after a minute or two, the sound would go away or shift to my desktop speakers or my USB wireless headphones. I would play DCS and it would work great. The HP Reverb G2 was always showing up in my list of audio output devices as "USB2.0".
The problem was solved for me by going into my motherboard BIOS and disabling the onboard RealTek HD Audio Drivers. Thought I would publish a proactive fix for this as I was seeing all over HP's support forums that the Reverb G2 headset was giving people sound problems.Īre you having this problem: Everything seems to work fine on the Reverb G2 and then after a couple of minutes (or less) the sound goes away or shifts to another output other than the headset?
